Blackhawk CRM Installation Guide

Blackhawk CRM includes an easy browser-based installer. If you have a standard cPanel hosting account, you can have Blackhawk CRM ready to configure in just a few minutes.

Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to install Blackhawk CRM on your hosting account.

Set PHP to Version 8.3

Blackhawk CRM requires PHP 8.3. Make sure your website or installation folder is configured to use PHP 8.3 before beginning the installation.

cPanel: Open MultiPHP Manager or Select PHP Version and set your domain to PHP 8.3.

Create a Database

Create a new MySQL or MariaDB database that Blackhawk CRM will use to store your application data.

In cPanel, open MySQL Databases or MySQL Database Wizard.
Example Database Name: blackhawk_crm

Create a Database User

Create a database user and assign it to the Blackhawk CRM database.

  • Create a new database username.
  • Use a strong, unique password.
  • Add the user to the database.
  • Grant the user ALL PRIVILEGES.
Save your database name, database username, and database password. You will enter these during installation.

Upload Blackhawk CRM

Upload the Blackhawk CRM files into any folder on your website.

For example, you could create a folder named:

public_html/crm/

You may also install Blackhawk CRM directly into your website's main folder or into another folder of your choice.

In cPanel, use File Manager to upload the ZIP file, then select it and click Extract.

Open the Installation URL

After uploading the files, open the installation folder in your web browser.

https://yoursite.com/foldername/

For example:

https://example.com/crm/

Complete the Automatic Installer

Blackhawk CRM will automatically detect that the application has not yet been installed and display the installation wizard.

Enter the database information you created earlier and follow the on-screen instructions.

No command line or SSH is required. The installer handles the setup through your web browser.

Start Using Blackhawk CRM

Once installation is complete, log into your new Blackhawk CRM installation and begin configuring your company, users, customers, email settings, and business modules.

That's it! Your Blackhawk CRM installation is ready to use.

Helpful Installation Tips

  • Make sure the installation directory uses PHP 8.3.
  • Always create a dedicated database and database user for Blackhawk CRM.
  • Make sure the database user has ALL PRIVILEGES assigned to the CRM database.
  • Install the CRM in any folder you choose, such as /crm/, /portal/, or /business/.
  • SSL/HTTPS is strongly recommended for production installations.
  • You do not need SSH or command-line access for a normal installation.
